FVM global vs local accuracy

Hello,

Can someone explain how local and global accuracy is calculated for the standard finite volume method? When we say a scheme is "locally first order" and "globally second order", what does it mean mathematically?

Thanks.

Differently from FD, the order of accuracy in the FV methods is related to the local truncation error of the flux reconstruction. The "global" error is often reported to be a different denomination of the discretization error. But the accuracy order depends on the LTE.
