How to find out tangential induced magnetic filed

I have solved MHD flows between two rotating cylinders (2d). I get solution in terms of cartesian coordinates such as bx, by etc.

My problem is that how to find out the tangential component of induced magnetic field from bx and by.

Should be r\dot{\theta}=xB_y-yB_x

x and y denotes?

That is very very simple, just use the Cartesian-Cilindrical representation

b = i bx + j by = ir br + itheta btheta

The tangential component is

b.itheta=(i bx + j by ).itheta
