Hi,
I can't find the option to create a polyhedral mesh in ANSYS Mesh (note, this is not ANSYS Fluent). I chose CFX as my solver. So far my mesh has automatically been generated as hexahedrals. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you! |

Ansys Meshing cannot create a polyhedral element mesh. The mesh methods are listed in the User Guide at: help/wb_msh/msh_types_shape.html.
CFX will create its own dual mesh of polyhedra elements from the tetra/hexa/prism/(maybe pyramids) elements. If you want a polyhedral element mesh then you will need to use Fluent Meshing and solve within Fluent. Put this in the https://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ansys-meshing/ forum might get you more help. |
