hi,
i have to design a pitot static tube for my project. the only data i have is Mach no. 1.78....can anyone help me with the standard procedure, like how to find the length and diameter of pitot tube. i am well versed with fluent but any software required feel free to suggest. it would be great if you can guide be analytically as well as through software.

Have you tried googling "designing a pitot tube for supersonic flow"? I did and got a large number of results, including
