To make the discussion more specific, informative, and fruitful let me please mention that:

I have used the nonlinear algebraic stress model (ASM) in my Ph.D. where the details about this ASM could be found at:

C. G. Speziale, “On nonlinear K-l and K-ε models of turbulence,” J. Fluid Mech. 178, 459–479 (1987). https://doi.org/10.1017/s0022112087001319

The details of my Ph.D. could be found at:

This model gave excellent results for fully developed turbulent flows in rectangular ducts. The work was completed in 1995 and since then I did not pursue on the subject. When I returned this year I could not found in the literature more developments on the subject of ASM and I dont know if there is a better ASM or not.

So, my question I need to know: are there any better algebraic stress models ? for each type of flow there might be one as the best so what is it? there might be a universal ASM which is the best for all flow types, if so what is it? Besides I need your valuable evaluation of Speziale (1997) ASM.
Regards
