Good evening community,
I am getting into Detached Eddy Simulations (IDDES, particularly in kω SST) in StarCCM (although this question is not software specific) . I have been able to find resources that explain LES and RANS. However, I have been unsuccessful in finding DES explanations or resources that are more user-friendly to new people with already some experience in RANS. Do you have any suggestions for additional know-how, papers, books...? Young's guide was a useful paper regarding grid requirements, but I need to improve my subject understanding further. Thanks in advance for any tips and help

Here's the grid generation guide if anymore else wants to read it https://ntrs.nasa.gov/api/citations/...0010080473.pdf
These papers (mostly looking for ones by Spalart) might be worth a read and all found in Google Scholar: https://www.researchgate.net/profile...simulation.pdf https://www.researchgate.net/profile...Simulation.pdf https://cfd.spbstu.ru/agarbaruk/doc/...0Densities.pdf https://d1wqtxts1xzle7.cloudfront.ne...OHF5GGSLRBV4ZA |
