How to increase Simulation speed

Hi,
I'm using Xeon e5 1650 v3 for my simulations. I'm running my simulations on DS Xflow. CPU is always at 100%. It still takes many days for even 2second simulation. How can I increase speed? and is it good for cpu at always 100%?

Are you working in parallel? If not, trying to parallelize your analysis will improve your performance, remember to deactivate the multi-threading, as far as I know it is a better option. Xeon CPUs are designed for workstations and servers, so I do not think you will have particular problems with the CPU always at 100%, but I am not an expert...

I think you cannot do a lot more on the hardware, maybe you can try to speed up your transient simulation adopting a larger time-step, other interpolation schemes or less cells for your mesh, but it really depends on the case you are simulating.

You don't need anything more than Windows Defender for normal use. If you find that your CPU performance has suffered due to your third-party geometry dash lite antivirus program, please deactivate it. The malware on your computer may also be to blame for the constant 100% CPU utilization. To see if your computer is infected with malware like viruses, spyware, or Trojan horses, you can launch an antivirus scan. Scan your computer for viruses, then get rid of anything you detect.
