Periodic channel flow source term implementation
Hi,
I have started my undergraduate project in cfd and I want to implement source terms for periodic channel flows with scalar transport. As far as I have read, I found it can be done by implementing a term that leads to a fixed bulk reynolds number in the channel. I have just started learning CFD (sophomore in college). Can somebody outline the implementation procedure for fixing the bulk Re? How I think about it is that during every iteration, the flux through the cross section of the channel must be computed and then the target flux (fixed Rebulk) is also computed. Then a correction term given by the difference of the two can lead to a correction for momentum eqn. Is that right? Can someone put this into mathematical/computational form? Thanks in advance. |

The dynamic correction based on volumetric flow rate is one of the methods. Otherwise you set a fixed constant in the momentum equation, as I explained in Sec 5.1 here https://www.researchgate.net/publica...ection_methods |
