Hello All,

I have recently started learning CFD and am currently working on my project (simulating a wind tunnel experiment where they used Irwin Probes at different locations on a sloped surface).

I finished modelling and meshing the geometry (Ansys ICEM CFD), set boundary conditions (Ansys CFX Pre), and then pre-processed (Ansys CFX solver) and now looking out to obtain the results (post-processing) using Ansys EnSight or Ansys CFD post.

All I am looking for is find the wall shear stress at specific coordinates on the surface of one of the created parts (slope surface), so I can calculate the frictional velocity later using the results obtained.

But I am lost with more questions:
1. Which software can I use for post-processing? Either Ansys EnSight or CFD-post?

2. How to create points on the desired locations of the slope surface? (I have in total 20 points to be plotted)

3. How to evaluate the pressure at those specific points I have created?
( the ultimate is to find the frictional velocity, so by using the pressure value, I can substitute to the surface shear relation).

4. How to take the output as I need to plot the graph
x-axis - distancing of points
y-axis - pressure for the corresponding point or frictional velocity
(I will be normalising the axes, the x-axis with the Base length of the slope and the y-axis with threshold frictional velocity).

5. If any other you can suggest to me, please do comment me further.

Thanks for your time guys!!!!!

If any other details are required on the above, please ask

Automate with Session File: If you have multiple points, you can create macros or session scripts to automate data extraction.
