I am running a CFD simulation to evaluate the heat transfer characteristics of heat exchanger, using water and water with nano particles.
The CFD simulation was first performed using the water as a base fluid only. I kept the inlet velocity as 2 m/s for that simulation and the Re was 515. Now I want to run the simulation again with water as the base fluid along with nano particles. So what should I keep the inlet velocity? When I used 2m/s and re-evaluated the Re, it came out to be 600+ Re in this case (as density and kinematic viscosity changed). Should I reduce the velocity for this case to make the Re around 515 for comparison with the previous case? as in research papers I find Nusselt Number vs Reynold Number graphs. |
