I just wonder can I use MPICH in my department Unix network without bothering system manager?
I visited below site, and followed its implement direction, and I am lost cause there are a lot of options. And when I compilied, I got a lot of error messages. http://www-unix.mcs.anl.gov/mpi/mpich/ Kim |

Hi, Yes,I believe you should be able to use MPICH without disturbing your sys admins. As long as there are all the needed things installed, like c compiler, and all the needed libraries. If you have trouble compiling MPICH, maybe you could give LAM a try. I think it's even faster than MPICH, if you have simple TCP/IP, no Myrinet or something fancy like that. I used LAM with good success.
