RNG k-epsilon model
I have some problems to interpret some results of turbulent simulations with the rng-kepsilon model. I am using a turbulence model to solve the influence of the walls (in Fluent this is called Two Layer Zonal Model) which deals with a one equation turbulence model of Wolfstein. ANyway my problem is that I have a huge over-prediction of pressure drop for my flow (water, incompressible, steady state assumed, no heat transfer) through a welleded geometry. The only explanation I have is that there are some laminar parts in my flow which make the solution with the RNG-kepsilon model inaccurate??

ANy ideas

Thanks in advance

Re: RNG k-epsilon model
(1). The description is too vague for me to know what you are doing. (2). If you can't explain the problem clearly, you are likely a new user or newcomer to CFD. (3). If you are using Fluent, you can post the message at the Fluent forum, where the code experts can have a chance to answer it.
