Dear all,
I am writing a CFD code to simulate (1) the steady 2D incompressible turbulent boundary layer on a flat plate, (2) steady 2D compressible laminar subsonic boundary layer on a flat plate, and (3) steady 2D compressible turbulent subsonic boundary layer on a flat plate. Could you please suggest me where, on the net, I can get the experimental and/or DNS data to validate my computed results, please ![]() Cheers, Ekachai. |

Try the ERCOFTAC-Nexus at http://ercoftac.mech.surrey.ac.uk/ where you will find an excellent collection of DNS and experimental data.
Cheers, Jens. |

(1). The ideal place to find the flat plate data or analysis is: the book by Schlichting, "The boundary Layer Theory". (2). It has a chapter on Laminar boundary Layers including boundary layer on a plate. (3). It has a chapter on turbulent flow over a flat plate, including roughness effect and Mach number effect (compressible flow).
