I think Tecplot is a strong post-processor.

Hi, Mukhopadhyay

If you use Windows TECPLOT is Ok but it is not free.

Otherwise, try to use any Linux distribution and you will see the great performances of a free source codes such as: popiplot (http://www.lmm.jussieu.fr/MEMBERS/PO...lot/index.html

or Vis5D (at rpmfind.net I think). Good luck

Re: Suggest a post processor for visualisation

There are a lot of possibilities, a few of which have already been mentioned by other responders to your query.

Two additional possibile alternatives you may wish to consider are these open source packages.
  1. vtk (see, too, MayaVi)
  2. dx

Matlab is a good choice. You can probably find some cheap/free ones also at http://SAL.KachinaTech.COM/index.shtml
