streamline curvature ?

Anyone know how to calculate a streamline curavture in a cell on two dimensional flow field with the information of velocity components of surrounding cells ?

Best Regards

Re: streamline curvature ?

(1). Streamline created by streamline plot normally is piece-wise-linear-segment. (2). So, you can draw a mid-point normal for the first line segment, and draw another mid-point normal for the second line segment. The intersection of these two normals should be the center of a circle which will pass the three points on the streamline.(3). I think, the radius of this circle is inversely proportional to the curvature of the streamline curve. And large radius means low curvature. A straight line has a zero curvature.
