I am new to fluid modeling and have done a few 2D problems modeling incompressible fluid using the vorticity transport equations. Do any of you know a way to "bootstrap" the vorticity transport equations up to do modeling of the Couette-Taylor system in the Taylor vortex roll regime? I am working on using VTE to model a slice through the vortex rolls at fixed azimuthal angle, and it seems like there might be a way to "link" the dynamics of a set of models at different azimuthal angles.
