transient result in spray reactor with swirl flow

Hi, I am modelling a spray reactor with a central rotating disc at the top for atomizing the spray. The inlet is central in the reactor roof, around the atomizer disc, with a highly swirling inlet condition (typically 45° angle of the flow). After a lot of difficulties in converging the solution I found the reason to be that the flow is transient. The swirl causes the flow to 'open like an umbrella'. Over time, the umbrella moves up and down in the reactor. Fluent support has explained to me they believe it is the interaction between two recirculation zones (near the axis and near the roof) to cause the transient behaviour. Has anyone experience with similar flows or other suggestions?

Hi,
Now i'm planning to simulate rotating spray ,but there are so few tutorials( as i konw ,there is a spary example in ansys cfx 14).
I don't know the way to simulate.
Do you have some good tutorials and resoures to share with me ?
Thanks .
