CFD predictions of heat transfer coeffcients
 

Has anyone carried out experiments to verify the accuracy of CFD predictions of heat transfer coefficients for ambient temperature air flowing over hot surfaces? (Sufaces at temperatures over 1000 deg. C and velocities 20 -100 m/s).

At a conference several years ago I heard an accuracy of +/- 20% stated. Has anyone got data?
