I'm looking for these articles and i I have not been able to find them. Can anyone help me?
-Harlow, F. H. and Welch, J. E., "Numerical Calculation of Time-Dependent Viscous Incompressible Flow," Phys. Fluids 8, 2182 (1965); Selected Papers in Physics," Vol. VI (The Physical Society of Japan, Tokyo, 1971).
-Nichols, B. D. and Hirt, C. W., "Calculating Three-Dimensional Free-Surface Flows in the Vicinity of Submerged and Exposed Structures," J. Comput. Phys. 12, 234 (1973).
Have you tried the technical library at the university nearest to you?
The Physics of Fluids and the Journal of Computational Physics are absolutely essential for any university that intends to produce competent engineers and scientists.
If a nearby library does not have these journals, that library should be able to find copies through interlibrary loan.
I think both Harlow and Nichols are still at the Los Alamos National Lab. Try contacting them via e-mail, www.lanl.gov.
C. W. (Tony) Hirt is president of Flow Science, publisher of Flow-3D. Check the sponsor listing for cfd-online.
