Default how to extract data from plot3d file

when i get a plot3d file. (NASA cfd fire type .q) i can view it in 3d view but i want extract data from it to write a spreadsheet file. then i can draw curves with matlab. how can i do that. or what other ways to draw curves for reporting. can you give me some advice thanks

Hi,

You can view the .q file in tecplot and the let tecplot write the output to an ascii file which you can copy onto a spreadsheet. I haven't done this, but I have a feeling that it is possible.

what is the tecplot? how can i get it? i have tried to view the .q file in workpad, but i didn't work! thanks!
