Euler eqs in a duct of a variable cross-section

Hello,

does anybody know the good, classical reference for the derivation of the Euler eqs of gas dynamics in the duct of variable cross-section?

Thanks,

Nikolai.

Re: Euler eqs in a duct of a variable cross-sectio

continuity d(rho*A)/dt + d(rho*u*A)/dx = 0 momemtum d(rho*u*A)/dx + d(rho*u*u + p)*A/dx - p*dA/dx -0.5*rho*u*u*f*pi*D = 0 energy d(rho*e*A)/dt + d(rho*u*h*A)/dx - q*rho*A = 0

A is the area of cross section, rho,u,e,h,a have usual meanings, f = wall friction, q = heat transfer

I read this from "Unsteady flow of compressible gas in pipes".. Winterbone and Pearson
