2D scheme for two-phase flow is needed

Hi all!

Is here anybody who can tell me of any publicly available CFD code that can deal with two phase flow and will be capable of tracking the fluid-gas surface? My problem is air-water flow basically laminar and basically in 2D...

I will highly appreciate any suggestions!

Thank you in advance...

Oleg, I could suggest you to use fluent 5.2. There is two phase flow modul for your case. The approach for two phase flow is basically from VOM, cavitation model, slip mixture model. You can use one of them depend on your case. If you have any question, you can ask me.

Rahmat, thank you very much, but I am new to CFD and especially to the commercial CFD packages. So, my next question is as follows:

Can I get this package (i. e. Fluent 5.2) fom somewhere for evaluation, or even if there exist any good freely available version, etc?... can you please tell me?

hi

i don't know much about free or commercial CFD packages for 2-phase flow models. can i suggest you to develop you own code all you need some-time to understand the mathematical structure then the numerical methods you need. i.e. what i've done i never used any package.

good luck. cfd
