sudden perturbations

hello

Can any one tell me about any computatinal work done with reference to sudden perturbations as applied to turbulent boundary layers.

A sudden perturbation can be classified as a perturbation applied in the form of surface roughness patch e.g. smoth-rogh-smooth or as heat hot-cold -hot .It can also be in the form of suddenly applied pressure gradient and then removing the PG. It means that preturbation does not last long .. but i applied and flow is left to relax.there is a lot of experimental work on the subject but i am unable to find any computational work. also if anyone has done some work on application of sudden perturabtions.

regards,

Adarsh
