I want to compute 3d flow field (first one phase then transient , two phase maybe) in stirred tank using the sliding mesh method. I prefer to phoenics. But it seems that the sliding mesh method phoenics offers is not robust. Any one who has experience please give me suggestion, whether I should give phoenics up or not.

Dear Alireza Ablaghdar: Thanks for your kindness! I want to compute the flow field in square shaped tank which is used widely in Metallurgical processing. Sliding grid method seems to be the best alternative. I want to compute by commercially cfd code such as fluent, cfx, starcd, phoenics and so on.As a beginner, I am not sure which code is the bese one. Since you had using sliding grid, would you please share your experience with me? Best regards J. H. Van

Dear J H Van i have used sliding mesh by fluent 5.23 and i had used gambit to meshing the model the model was a two dimensional rotor-stator interaction with unsteady behaviour. it was too complex. i dont have any information about other sofwars i would be happy to help u if u like i would be happy to know u thanks
