Dear all,

Could you please tell me what are the restrictions of y+, Dx+ and Dz+ for LES ? Do those restrictions refer to the maximum values or averaged values ?

Thank you very much in advance !

Li

For LES, the recommended values for the grid spacing are (in the case where no wall wall is used) :

Medium resolution : Dy+min = 1 Dx+ ~ 70-80 Dz+ ~ 15-20

High resolution : Dx+ ~ 35 Dz+ < 10

Low resolution : Dx+ ~ 155 Dz+ ~ 35-40

Of course these "should" be averaged values...
