How to get integral information about Precondition
 

Dear all,

I am working at a program about low velocity and viscous gas with inner heat source in 3-d solid wall cavity.

May I adopt finite volume method and precondition method to solve the density change and pressure distribution ? If these ways are not suitalbe to my problem which way should be adopted? If these way may be adopted where may I get the integral and detailed information about these ways?
