Starting on an EHD numerical modeling problem involving a flexible beam decending on a thin film. Looking to calculate the time history of the beam shape decending under it's own weight or constant loading. Appears to be an iterative procedure involving calculating the deflected shape, guessing a period movement, recalculating the pressure field and comparison with initial guess. Anyone else working on this and the method used to solve this problem ?
