Hi people,
Who could recommend me a paper regarding oxidation of N2 using a finite rate chemistry approach? I'm intending to use the coefficients in my studies. I know that may exist hundreds of mechanisms but I'm only interested in two of them: 1/2N2 + 1/2O2 -> NO NO + 1/2O2 -> NO2 Thanks in advance, cfd guy |

Try http://www.me.berkeley.edu/gri_mech for the rates. You don't say what your application is, but in combustion these reactions are not the important ones.

Hi,
I think you might have trouble finding universally applicable rate expressions for those two overall reactions. If you are after coefficients of elementary reactions, the GRI-Mech site is good, if you want more information about NOx formation try for example papers by A.S. El-Sherif, V. Dupont or A. Williams. Hope this helps, Volker |
