Hi,
I work in tech. dept. of a large dairy. My problem is to reduce cheese losses through bacterial growth. Can a fluid code (we have Fluent licence but no user) be used for the following: a) Set up a model of a cheese (generally ripe, like a honking brie), together with the pores / holes. b) Model transport of oxygen through both the cheese solid, and by diffusion down the pores / holes. c) Model the reaction between bacteria and their substrates (cheese) and oxygen. d) Do this for long time periods? Any suggestions from anyone whos tried this would be most welcome. Ta Stan Tonks |
