CFD

I am working in National Council for Cement & Building Materials , an R&D organisation in Hyderabad , India .

I am presently doing a project on Simulation of cement process equipment involving modelling of directly fired rotary cement kilns , cyclone collectors etc in which complex non isothermal two phase flow exists .

Please let me know how CFD helps in accurate modelling and optimising the designs of such process equipment .

Re: CFD

Regarding modelling of rotary cement kilns....comprehensive model would require a 3 dimensional modeling approcah which is basically solving the gas phase with CFD and linking it with bed model...so using a coupled CFD model u can analysis the effect of operating parameters on the final product quality.Let me know more about ur work.I am working on modeling of rotary lime kilns in University of Toronto.
