the reattachment length of rearward facing step

hi, is the length about 6.5H in any case,2D or 3D,compressible or incompressible, high Re or low Re,supersonic or subsonic? thanks

I would say a little less more like 6h. it will also depend on the Expansion Ratio, there is data for 1.1<ER<1.30 where the reattachment poitn varies between 5h and 7h.

I have gotten some information. in turbulent flow the reattachment length is about 6.5H,where H denotes the step hight. in laminar flow the length will increase with the Re number decrease. just some primary information.
