Hi,
I would like to learn group theory, especially about applications to PDE, anybody can recommend me the easiest book for this? Seems very hard to read some translated books written by Russian people, thanks wen |

There's a book by Peter Olver on Lie groups for partial differential equations (Springer-Verlag) and a very readable one by Hydon (Cambridge University Press).
You should be able to find these on Amazon or the publishers webpages (sorry but I can't remember the exact titles), Tom. |
