viscosity of gaz mixture

Hello everybody, does anyone know how we can calculate the viscosity of gaz mixture ? We are studying the oxypropane combustion : C3H8 + 5O2 = 3CO2 + 4H2O + Energy...

Thanks in advance

Re: viscosity of gaz mixture

In practice, transport properties of gas phase mixture can be calculated using Wilke's empirical formula, if k and \mu of each species are known. More strict calculation is based on kinetic theory.

A couple of useful references for Wilke's formula:

"Transport Phenomena" by Bird, Stewart, and Lightfoot.
