time accuracy test
Hi,
I know of a method which uses the decaying vortex to check for time and space accuracy for a scheme simulating incompressible Navier Stokes equations in primitive variable form. But according to my level of knowledge, this method can test time accuracy only on implicit methods, since explicit methods call for time steps relatively smaller than grid sizes, it cannot be used to test for time accuracy. May I know if there is any other way to test for time accuracy? Basically I am using a projection method on the semi-implicit 2nd order Crank-Nicolson time discretization. Thank you. Regards, Nat |
