Hi,

Can somebody please provide me with some references/links/books where I can get to know about the keller box method? In general, I am in the lookout for implicit finite difference methods for solving the basic hydraulic equations.

You may see the work of prof Jean-Pierre Croisille and Jean-Jacques Chattot on box schemes.

Try Keller's paper in the annual review of fluid mechanics (can't remember the exact reference but it's an issue from the early to mid 70's),

Tom.

Thanks for the reply. I found those papers, but they all are built around the Keller box scheme. They do not have information about the scheme itself.

You may find details of Keller-box scheme in this book.

Momentum transfer in boundary layers Tuncer Cebeci, Peter Bradshaw.

Hi,

Refer to Keller and Cebecci: Accurate numerical methods for boundary layer flows, I Two-dimensional laminar flows//2nd Int Conf. Numerical methods in fluid dynamics,Lecture notes in physics,Springer verlag,Vol 8,Berlin 1971. Keller and Isaacson have written a book "ANalysis of numerical methods". I guess Tannehill and Pletcher's book also has the box scheme.

Have a look at "An Introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics, The Finite Volume Method" by Veersteg and Malalasekera, Prentic Hall. Chapter 6 of the book has step by step description of wring an imcompressible NS solver using SIMPLE method.
