You can have a look on the Book of Modest. Nice explanation to implement of DOM there.

The book of Modest is good if you are not yet familiar with RHT. It is very good for rectangular enclosures. Here is further refs.about DOM.

1)Performance of discrete ordinates method in a gas turbine combustor simulator

N. Kayakol, N. Selcuk, I. Campbell, O.L. Gulder Journal: Experimental Thermal and Fluid Science Volume : 21 Issue : 1-3

(2) ASSESSMENT OF DISCRETE ORDINATES METHOD FOR RADIATIVE TRANSFER IN CYLINDRICAL FURNACES, N. Selçuk and N. Kayakol http://www.ichmt.org/abstracts/Radia.../session5.html

Youcan find standard oe well known test cases to check your own code. You will see all other the related reference in those papers. I strongly recommend to get LA-2595 Los Alamos Rept. of LEE. Then you can learn the coupling between angular and spatial integration, which the most difficult part due to presence of a cylindrical coordinate. I explained that in my PhD thesis but I don't have its electronic version.

Good Luck Nuray
