I woulnīt dare to run a CFD Code in Matlab. Matlab is very slow for such an application. If you use a combustion chamber (turbulent flow) you need some thousand grid points (depending on your geometry). If you use a chemistry model ( quite simple one) then your computer will slow down. If you start a transient calculation using a fine grid and a sophisticted chemistry model, you will get your results after some months. I mean try to calculate a real problem for an existing application, not a dummy problem.
Try to write a simple 2d program for a simple heat conductivity calculation. Then simply increase the number of grid points. Now think that a CFD calculation needs much more time to converge than a simple heat problem. If you donīt believe me try your own calculation. You will regret it! best regards Jannis |
