Velocity Inlet BC..!!

Hi all, Is it possible to specify the velocity at the inlet. I'm solving RANS. Cheers

Re: Velocity Inlet BC..!!

it is definitely possible and that is all that's needed for incompressible laminar flow. Depending on your turbulence model, you may need to specify additional parameters.

Hi, Jim & Ted

Jim, The case is subsonic inlet.. Ted, I@m talking about compressible BL. Looking for more discussions. Thanks.

To add more,If I specify the velocity at the inlet what property to extrapolate from interior of the domain?.what to specify beside the velocity at the inlet?.
