I was hoping that somebody can point me in the right direction. I am trying to create a surface around a molecule. I know the coordinates of a set of points on the surface and I want to join up these points to create my surface. I have been asked to create this in vrml as part of my msc thesis. I need to create a set of triangles between these points such that the triangles join up to create the whole surface. I have tried using a very simple routine which joins up the two closest points to a given point on the surface, but this leaves large gaps between triangles. I am not sure how to go about this problem, if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mike
