Check the skewnesses of your face meshes and make sure the face mesh sizes are not to

hi,
i am trying to mesh a big cylinder with an other small one that is tangentiel to the first. I can mesh the big one without problems, but when i try to mesh the small one the following message of error is given by gambit:
Check the skewnesses of your face meshes and make sure the face mesh sizes are not too large in areas of samll gaps

what should i do?
thanks
sophie

What you need to do is make sure that the size difference between the two meshes is similar at the points where they meet.

Large size differences between the two meshes will cause cells to be skewed, resulting in that error.

It can help if you mesh all edges first - at the point where the smaller cylinder joins the large one set the node spacing to be very similar.

You can then mesh the faces (and then volumes, if you have)
