Hi,

I remember a number of years ago a frenchman (I believe, I could be wrong about this) worked on the fluid mechanics on pouring water from a kettle. He managed to derive a criterion that separated the two very different flow from a kettle.

Has this work been published? I guess it's a hydrodynamic stability question but I would like a reference if anyone has one.

Cheers

Mat
