convert compressible flow into incompressible flow
Hi! everyone...
I have 3d compressible flow cfd code.I would like to convert compressible into incompressible flow with my code. I have been fixed density. but, It's different result with experimental one. I wonder what i am consider condition? |
Re: convert compressible flow into incompressible
Explain please in more details how you find pressure (before and now)?

Re: convert compressible flow into incompressible
Thank for your response!!!
I'm using finite volume method of simple algorithm. My codes gives velocity inlet profile. The pressure is conducted by the initial guess value of the inlet velocity as general simple method. During the converting compressible flow into incompressible one, I'm not adjusting pressure term. I have a question. When the inlet velocity profile is given, the remark mentioned above, does it directly has the inside and outlet velocity? otherwise, after iteration, does it has the outlet velocity by means of pressure? |
Re: convert compressible flow into incompressible
Hi,
If you are using a compressible code and you want to simulate an incompressible flow you have to decrease the Mach number, Mach=0.2 works probably. You can not take the density as a constant in a compressible code. Tom |
Re: convert compressible flow into incompressible
use artificial compressible method(ACM) to do these job
