Is there some literature available on this subject?

What exactly do you mean with "flow uniformity"? A mass of the turbulence?
I think you should look at your vectors, maybe you can make a short "calc" with their values to get a mass of the flow uniformity. But maybe I don't understand your problem

i am talking about the gamma function. I know how to calc it.

I can only find info on the statistical gamma function. nothing on surface distribution

When you know how it's calculated, what's the problem?!
You don't understand it or do you want to know why it calc in this way and not in a other?!

I don't know the gamma function, I didn't need it yet
