what approach for direct mixing fluids with heat transfer and phase change?

Hi,
I am trying to model the injection of one fluid into another and the heat exchange that follows. The process is complicated by:

1) a large initial temperature difference between the injected (cold) fluid and pool (hot) fluid - so considerable heat transfer.
2) phase change (boiling) of the injected fluid, creating a vapor phase.
3) injection occurs into a small chamber - so a large part of the breakup of the fluid is due to collision with the opposite wall.
4) the process is compressible and unsteady.

Now I am aware that this is an extremely complex problem, and I am unsure about what direction to take ie. whether to be looking at models that track the interface or, if this is not viable to be looking at particle type models.

If anyone is able to give me general or specific advice this problem, or what codes may flexible enough to solve it (openFOAM?, FLUENT?) I would be most grateful.

Thanks
