Default Sharp angle in Emmersed Boundary

When apply the emmersed boundary method (which is like cartesian grid method) in flow around a rigid body, some layers of nodes in the solid body should be extrapolated from nodes in the fluid domain with non-slip condition.

For smooth wall, there is no problem. But if there are sharp angle on the wall, how to process this case?

When solving Euler equation only on cartesian grid, without near-wall fitted grid, this case should be faced, too, such as the tail of a foil.

Then how to ? What papers should I read??

Thanks

Even though your work is on Navier-Stokes, the below paper on Euler flows justifies the blunting procedure.

A Cartesian Grid Approach with Hierarchical Refinement for Compressible Flows by James J Quirk, Institute for Computer Applications in Science and Engineering (ICASE), 1994.

available for download from
