Dear Forum,
I would like to reduce the numbers of points used for subsequent triangulation. The values of these equidistant points have XYZ-coordinates. The thinning should follow a deltaZ value, which is the elevation difference to the neighbouring points. Points in areas with higher gradients are less reduced than areas with lower gradients. Is there an open source software capable to solve such a problem in a similar way described above? Any ideas are highly welcome. Regards, bath |
