I have been trying to produce a model for a 1D turbulent channel flow, which is driven by a pressure gradient. This is essentially a turbulent Poiseuille flow.
Another person and myself have looked over a code to simulate this using a k-w model from Wilcox 1998 2nd edt. and cannot get this model to work with this flow. We have gotten the Baldwin-Lomax model to work with such a flow. We have refined the grid such that y+=1 is where the first mesh point should be. We have tried different initial conditions. So I am now motivated to ask the question; Will the k-w model work in one dimension? Thank You Chris Valade |
