Boundary Layer?

Hi,
I want to model a cyclone seperating devise but I am having a few concerns about the grid that I have generated. My real concern is to do with the boundary layer on the walls. I understand that by using normal wall functions, the Y+ value should be between 30 and 60, however, how do I go about generating a good initial approximation on how fine the grid at the wall should be? Thanks P.I |

hello, there is no such rule exist. it is always the inital guess then u should run and then see what ur results. if it is compatible with the therotical or experimental data then go a head other cahnge refine the grids more
