Hi,
I've seen freeFOAM and I would like to know if someone is using it. As far I can see it is a more polished organization of openFOAM files which I believe has greater chanches to enter in some distribution repository. What do you think about it? Thank you, Xwang PS if I install it, can I continue to ask to the openFOAM forum as far as problems regarding the usage of the tool (namely creation and execution of cases)? |

http://freefoam.sourceforge.net/ As far as I can see, it is a more polished installation (I was able to install it using checkinstall in /usr/local) and it does not replicate programs already available through the distro (compiler and paraview). As far as the usage, it should be the same as openfoam. Xwang |

Thanks for the information. Interesting to know the new team has eliminated the paraview problems. You check the messages on the OpenFOAM forum, half of them are related to paraview , that is really good news for the users, you might consider repeating your post on the OpenFOAM forum I wish the new team success It would be a smart idea if they plan to incorporate a GUI, do not you think? Thanks |

Hello, recently I started to work with Freefoam. In our case, parafoam is not installed. To visualize the results I converted them to VTK format but I faced difficulty to visualize the results from chtMultiRegion solver i.e. when I have multi-regions. How can I convert the foam file for individual regions? Any help would be very much appreciated.
