Hi all,

I've been trying to simulate flow thru' a 90 degree elbow at cold temperatures and compare the results with test data. I've noticed that the DP values I get are WAYYY off from test data (Test: 8bar DP, Flowizard: 28bar @ -23C and 26 LPM).

I have double checked my boundaryconditions and they seem to be ok, so could this be a problem due to the really cold temperature? (@ -23C, denisty = 887kg/m^3 and dynamic viscosity = 4.08kg/m-s)

Since the geometry is very simple, I'm curious if anyone has encountered DP results that are off by a factor of ~3? I am using Flowizard for simulations.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

have you done a simple hand calculation to get a ballpark number of what your pressure drop should be?
